2024 NGO Fellowship Program
Key Program Features
NGO Placement:
Fellows will be placed in Taiwan's NGO according to their professional backgrounds. Fellows will work with the Taiwanese NGO and engage in daily operations for three weeks. Depending on the nature of the NGOs, fellows will engage in event preparation, project management, or fundraising activities.
Capacity building:
Fellows will attend a four-day workshop at the start of the program. The workshop aims at project management, fundraising, and advocacy. Fellows will also visit civil society sites related to Taiwan civil society.
Roundtable event:
Fellows will join a roundtable event on the sixth day of the program. The fellows and Taiwanese NGO professionals will together share their practical experience and up-to-date observations in the field.
Future project collaboration
Fellows will be expected to propose a project draft at the end of the program for future cooperation in their home countries. The program will provide opportunities for fellows and host NGOs to explore the possibility of future cooperation.

Eligibility
- Age: NGO professionals from 25 to 40 years old. An outstanding applicant whose age is not between 25 to 40 will be considered.
- Number of Fellows : 15
- Professions:
Community development, environment, education, gender, human rights, media and information technology, LGBTQ, medical service, and social welfare. Outstanding applicants from other fields will also be considered.
- Countries
- Southeast Asia:
Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam
- South Asia:
Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan
- Northeastern Asia:
Japan, South Korea, Mongolia
- Language: Proficiency in written and oral English or Mandarin.
- At least three years of work experience in the NGO sector
- Demonstrated professional excellence, independent and self-motivated, able to complete an independent fellowship
Sponsorship
Fellows’ expenses of flight, lodging, food, and transportation will be covered. Fellows will receive per diem during the three-week placement.
